Overview
Megan Moore Wilkes, née Marie Moore, represents management during grievance actions, prevailing wage issues, interpreting and negotiating collective bargaining agreements, including project labor agreements, analyzing jurisdictional disputes, and handling ERISA audit and collection actions. Megan also defends employers in civil litigation matters, including employment discrimination and retaliation claims.
Megan focuses her practice on construction-related labor and benefits issues, counseling clients on day-to-day labor-management issues, employee benefit contribution compliance and conducting training for clients on various labor topics. She works closely with clients to provide creative solutions and favorable outcomes to their challenges related to a variety of complex legal issues.
Prior to joining Laner Muchin, Megan worked as an Associate Attorney at a Chicago-based law firm, counseling clients on numerous employment and labor law issues. She earned her J.D. at the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, where she was an active member of the Student Bar Association, Phi Alpha Delta and Brehon Society. Megan graduated with her B.A. in Public Relations & Advertising and Communications from DePaul University, where she was involved with the Lambda Pi Eta Honors Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Golden Key Honors Society.
