Edward Shivers

Edward (“Clint”) Shivers joined Laner Muchin as an incoming Associate in 2024. Initially, Clint joined the Firm as an extern, then he was promoted to student law clerk on a part-time basis.

Clint earned his J.D. at the Chicago-Kent College of Law in May 2024, earning a Labor and Employment Law Certificate. A Dean’s Honor List Recipient, Clint served on the Student Bar Association and the Black Law Students Association and as a mentor for the Chicago-Kent Peer Mentoring Program. 

During his time in law school, Clint clerked for the City of Chicago’s Department of Law and was a judicial extern in the Circuit Court of Cook County, working in the Law Division. He also served as a certified mediator for Chicago-Kent’s Mediation Clinic. Before attending law school, Clint worked as a paralegal in the Civil Rights Bureau for the Office of the Illinois Attorney General.
