Overview

Alex Levin joined Laner Muchin as an associate in October 2024. He concentrates his practice in employment litigation and is well-versed in a wide array of complex employment litigation issues.

Prior to joining Laner Muchin, Alex worked for a large defense litigation firm in Chicago where he represented employers in administrative hearings related to allegations of employment discrimination and wrongful termination. He also provided guidance and representation on claims based in Title VII, the Illinois Human Rights Act, ADA, ADEA and other federal and state statutes. He has addressed a wide range of legal topics in court, including issues related to employment, property damage, premises liability, transportation and legal malpractice.

Alex graduated with his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2016, where he earned the Boyd Service Award for the more than 200 hours he spent providing volunteer services.  As a law student, he served as co-president of the Iowa Student Bar Association, president of the Jewish Law Students Association and a student legal intern for the University of Iowa Legal Clinic where he represented clients in hearings, researched and drafted memoranda on a range of issues including constructive discharge of employees, wrongful termination, dissolution of marriage and dramshop liability.
