Jennifer Naber Honored Among Chicago Lawyer’s Top Women in Law in 2022
Laner Muchin partner and Executive Committee member Jennifer Naber has been recognized among Chicago Lawyer’s Top Women in Law in 2022 for her dedication to mentorship and advancement of diversity and inclusion, while building a reputation for being an excellent employment attorney. The 3rd annual list, published in the July issue of Chicago Lawyer Magazine, features 35 exceptional women leaders who have made a significant impact on the legal profession, have achieved success while promoting other women and exhibit remarkable leadership in their roles.
Jennifer is recognized for defending private, non-profit and public sector employers in federal and state proceedings, including leading clients through high-stakes class action and single plaintiff wage and hour litigation. In addition to her litigation matters, Jennifer regularly counsels clients on a wide range of employment related situations, such as FMLA compliance, analyzing ADA accommodation requests, auditing wage and hour practices and procedures, and investigating allegations of discrimination, harassment and/or retaliation. Her valuable advisory role in developing, improving and implementing preventative human resource strategies is essential to helping employers improve employee relations, minimize risk and mitigate employee issues.
Jennifer also serves as Laner Muchin’s DEI Committee Chair and works with committee members to publish an internal DEI newsletter, develop DEI focused Firm programs and cultivate a community built around inclusion and equity. She continuously mentors women colleagues, encouraging them to develop their legal acumen while valuing their personal and professional wellbeing.
In addition to mentoring her colleagues, Jennifer devotes considerable time towards mentoring women and at-risk youth in the community to help them overcome the challenges they face, define their goals and take actionable steps to achieve them.
