Eileen Lysaught and Andrew Slobodien Join Laner Muchin as Of Counsel
Laner Muchin is proud to welcome Eileen Lysaught and Andrew Slobodien to the Firm as Of Counsel.

With over 30 years of experience in business and corporate counseling, Eileen will launch the firm’s Corporate and Commercial Services practice. She assists clients with matters related to commercial agreements, corporate formation, general counsel services and business and employment law counseling.
Eileen is particularly skilled in the drafting, review and negotiation of various corporate agreements and is adept in drafting corporate governance documentation, record retention plans, and corporate policies, as well as in assisting in the implementation and training on those policies. She has also managed complex human resources issues, training programs and investigations. Before joining Laner Muchin, she owned a general counsel and employment law advisory law firm, where she advised clients on business and employment-related compliance and strategy issues and regularly prepared policies and procedures related to employee leave, anti-discrimination, anti-harassment and other personnel policies. In addition, she was previously the General Counsel for an international, consumer products manufacturing company.
Andrew brings extensive experience handling all manner of employee and labor relations to the firm. He assists clients with labor strategy, contract negotiations and administration, union campaigns and in litigating matters related to grievances, arbitrations and allegations of unfair labor practices. He has regularly practiced in federal and state courts as well as before the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Opportunity Commission, Illinois Educational Relations Board, Illinois Department of Human Rights and other administrative agencies.
Prior to joining the firm, Andrew was a labor and employment attorney at Chicago-based law firms, where he advised companies and individuals on labor and employee issues and represented clients large and small and in numerous industries. In addition, he was Associate Director of Labor and Employee Relations for the University of Illinois Chicago, where he was lead negotiator and administrator for major labor contracts on campus and at UI Health. Prior to that, Andrew was Managing Attorney for Labor Relations at Chicago Public Schools where he led a team of lawyers responsible for administering and litigating labor issues related to the Board’s relationships with its unions.
