Chicago, IL – Laner Muchin partner David A. Moore presented a webinar with Chicago SHRM’s Legislative Committee to HR professionals as they continued its discussion of the latest issues employers face as employees return to work during the COVID-19 pandemic on August 11, 2020.
Moore provided updates regarding the ADA and the FFCRA, including the impact of the recent federal court ruling striking down certain provisions the DOL’s FFCRA regulations, how to communicate with employees about the reasons why they are unable to return to work onsite without running afoul of the ADA and the FFCRA, and what steps employers can take under the ADA to screen employees for COVID-19 when they do return to work.
