Laner Muchin Partners Tom Bradley & Jill O’Brien Presented at the 35th Annual Illinois Public Sector Labor Relations Law Conference
Chicago, IL – Laner Muchin partners Tom Bradley and Jill O’Brien presented at the 35th Annual Illinois Public Sector Labor Relations Law Conference on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Chicago-Kent College of Law in Chicago.
Bradley provided an introduction for a panel discussion on litigation following the Supreme Court’s recent decision in the Janus case. O’Brien and her panel presented on, “Ethical Issues in Collective Bargaining.”
Bradley advises public sector employers on labor and employment issues, legislation, the Illinois constitution, the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act, and other state statutes, and represents them in arbitrations, administrative hearings, circuit court litigation, appeals, and other litigation. In addition, he represents private sector employers in injunction actions and trials in state and federal court, including employers seeking to enforce trade secrets and rights under restrictive covenant agreements.
O’Brien’s practice has focused on the representation of public and private sector employers in a wide variety of labor relations and employment matters, including collective bargaining negotiations, grievance handling, mediation and interest arbitration hearings. She also defends employers in employment disputes and labor proceedings in court and before agencies such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Illinois Department of Human Rights, Illinois Human Rights Commission, Chicago Human Rights Commission, the Illinois Department of Labor, and the National Labor Relations Board.
