Chicago, IL – Laner Muchin attorney William H. Nichols presented on “Best Fiduciary Practices for 401k/Defined Contribution Plans,” at the Special Advisor Forum hosted by TPA Benchmark on Thursday, October 24, 2019 in Oak Brook, Illinois.
Nichols discussed how to identify fiduciaries and how to protect both plan-sponsoring employers and insider-fiduciaries. He also recommended best practices for plan fiduciaries in managing plan operations in areas such as selecting vendors and monitoring vendors, effective reporting and disclosure, managing plan investments and recordkeeping oversight.
