Laner Muchin Celebrates 75 Years
Laner Muchin is one of the oldest law firms in Chicago concentrating exclusively in representing private and public sector employers in the areas of employment counseling, employment litigation, traditional labor law, employee benefits and immigration. The Firm was established in 1945, 75 years ago, by Isaiah Dorfman, one of the drafters of the National Labor Relations Act and the first head of the legal staff of the National Labor Relations Board, Chicago Regional Office. Just as Mr. Dorfman participated in the drafting of the National Labor Relations Act, the Firm similarly provided input into the drafting of the Illinois Public Labor Relations Act in its role as outside labor and employment counsel for the City of Chicago and Mayor Harold Washington.
Laner Muchin feels privileged to have been entrusted for all of these years with the handling of our clients’ most sensitive labor and employment matters. As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, we want to take this opportunity to thank our clients, referral sources and business partners who mean so much to us.
